I’m Karan Harplani, an actor who somehow collected a civil engineering degree who builds characters than buildings. I’ve been doing theatre since 2015 and have worked across films, web series, ads, music videos and everything in between. I’m trained in acting, but most of my education has happened by actually doing things — performing, directing, writing, making music and occasionally making questionable life choices for a role. I play guitar and ukulele, have composed a bunch of songs, directed music videos and plays, and I’m trained in capoeira and kalaripayattu. I also play enough sports to confidently say “I can probably do it” before finding out whether I actually can. I speak English, Hindi, Urdu and Sindhi, and I’m always looking for characters that make me forget I’m acting. Basically, I’m an actor-storyteller with a slightly overdeveloped curiosity for everything. Give me a good character, a good story and a little room to play — I’ll bring the rest.
