Khanak Joshi was born on 18th May Shirdi, Maharashtra state, India. From her early childhood she was initiated into Hindustani Classical Music. Gradually her interest grew in Sufi Style Music and she began pursuing that from various learned teachers in this field. Currently she is learning from Ustad Nazir Hussain…In 2013 she won world wide talent hunt competition organized by Shankar Mahadevan (well known music director and singer) and Indus International School, Bangalore, India. She won the competition and was accepted as student by Indus International School offering her 100% scholarship. Now She is student of BA Hon's Urdu at Aligarh Muslim University She was invited to perform at various Govt. Cultural Organizations, Private Organizations and National Festivals…She has also performed at Jashn e Rekhta, Jashn e Adab, Jashn e Zabaan, Patna Cultural Fest and many other Festivals... *She traveled to Europe in 2019 for cultural exchange program* She has achieved accolades from National and International Press and TV. She has learnt Urdu and Persian languages to involve deeply in Sufi Singing as most of the poetry by various learned poets of yester-years is written in Urdu and Persian Languages.
